Another great way to celebrate the Swedish Midsummer. After months of planning and testing, the team at Esrange Space Center in Kiruna watched as the SubOrbital Express rocket MASER 14 – a rocket designed and manufactured by SSC – was successfully launched into space early this morning.
The mission aims to study evaporating drops of pure fluids, drainage of a liquids, directional solidification of an Al-Cu system by in-situ real-time X-ray radiography, as well as experiments in the field of nucleation of dust. And more.
Maser 14 was successfully launched at 08.52 CETand at (06.52 UTC). The rocket reached an altitude of 244.8 km. Recovery is expected back at Esrange at 11.00.
